Laowa has expanded its acclaimed 10mm T2.9 Zero-D VV Cine lens series by introducing a PL mount version, enhancing compatibility with professional cinema cameras while retaining its title as the world’s widest rectilinear full-frame cine lens.

Renowned for pushing the limits of ultra-wide cinematography, Venus Optics—the company behind the Laowa brand—offers the 10mm T2.9 Zero-D VV Cine lens with a sweeping 130.3° diagonal field of view while preserving zero-distortion imaging across the entire frame.
The lens covers a 46.31mm image circle, ensuring full compatibility with Vista Vision sensors and premium cinema cameras such as the ARRI ALEXA LF, ALEXA 35, and RED RAPTOR 8K VV. The newly added PL mount enables seamless integration into professional cinema production workflows.

Ultra-Wide Coverage with Zero Distortion

Despite its ultra-wide 10mm focal length, the lens maintains a fast T2.9 aperture and supports close focusing at just 12cm, enabling striking foreground detail and cinematic close-ups with smooth background separation.
Weighing approximately 640g (1.41 lbs) and featuring an 84mm front diameter, the lens is compact and lightweight enough for gimbals, drones, and handheld setups—making it ideal for dynamic, fast-paced productions.

Its optical construction includes 15 elements in 9 groups with 14 aperture blades, minimizing chromatic aberration and color fringing while delivering excellent contrast and edge-to-edge sharpness.
